Disney's 1992 animated classic "Aladdin" will be starting previews on Broadway starting in February 2014, according to broadwayworld.com.
Previews will begin at the the New Amsterdam Theatre Feb. 26 with a possible March 20, 2014 opening night.

The play has a pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre Nov. 1, 2013 to Jan. 5, 2014. The show features music by Alan Menken; lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin with a book by Beguelin. Casey Nicholaw will direct and choreograph.
Toronto is the first staging of this full-length two-act Aladdin, it will include the five songs from the film in addition to others.
Previous live versions included Disney's Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular at Disney California Adventure, regional productions of the show licensed and versions of the script which have been available to schools.
Aladdin will be designed by six-time Tony winning scenic designer Bob Crowley, three-time Tony winning lighting designer Natasha Katz, two-time Tony winning costume designer Gregg Barnes and sound designer Ken Travis.
