Disney marathon and running updates

There are six marathon and half-marathon events at Disneyland and Disney World during the next seven months with only a handful of races still open for registration.

Here's the breakdown:

Walt Disney World Marathon.

Disneyland Half-Marathon, Aug. 30-Sept. 1
All of the events, including the Half-Marathon, 10K, Dumbo Double Dare, Family Fun Run 5K, and Kids Races are all sold out.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler, Oct. 4-5 
While the 10-miler event at Disney World is sold out, the Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run is 83 percent full and the Kids Races are 52 percent full.

Disney Wine & Dine & Half-Marathon, Nov. 8-9
The Half Marathon at this Disney World event is sold out. Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5K race is 78 percent fill, the Kids Races are 53 percent full and the Wine & Dine Pre-Race Taste is 85 percent full.

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, Jan. 8-12, 2014
The marathon is 95 percent filled and Goofy's race is 85 percent filled. The Half Marathon, 10K run and Family Fun 5K Run is sold out.

Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend, Jan. 16-19, 2014
Only three of the four race events at this Disneyland venue is open. The actual Half Marathon sold out quickly. The Tinker Bell 10K is 54 percent full. The Neverl Land Family Fun Run 5K is 64 percent full and the Kids Races are 96 percent full.

Disney Princess Half Marathon, Feb. 20-23, 2014
The Half Marathon at Disney World is only 87 percent full while the Disney Enchanted 10K and Glass Slipper Challenge are sold out.
