Villas as Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to open in October

An opening date of Oct. 23, 2013 has been sent for The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney Vacation Club Members who have bought into this property can start using their home resort points to book stays at the Grand Floridian villas as far as 11 months out, as normal.

However, reservations open to other members for use of the 147 villas  with check-in dates ranging from Oct. 23, 2013 through Dec. 31, 2013 will be available in a four month booking window instead of the usual seven months, according to Disney.

Reservations with check-in dates beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2014, will be available to be booked through their typical seven -month booking window starting now.

This temporary alteration of traditional booking windows is designed to provide Home Resort Priority during the grand opening of this new Resort, according to the Disney Vacation Club.
